This is the consultation response website for the "Soft Sand Review of the West Sussex Joint Minerals Local Plan"  Consultation Period (21 January – 18 March 2019).

Policy M2 of the West Sussex Joint Minerals Local Plan (adopted in July 2018) requires the Authorities to undertake a review of the approach to planning for soft sand.  The review will consider the supply and demand of soft sand during the Plan period to 2033, and how a steady and adequate supply will be maintained, including the potential need for site allocations.

Work on the review has begun, and we are now consutling on the Issues and Options for the Soft Sand Review in accordance with Regulation 18 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) Regulations (2012) for a period of 8 weeks, until 18 March 2019.
