Overview

The County Council has been closely monitoring a rise in pupil numbers across the County and as part of this exercise, has evidence that the number of children with social communication needs who have statements of special educational need (SEN) or an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) will continue to be high.  As a result, the County Council proposes to permanently extend the number of places available at the Special Support Centre (SSC) at Parklands Community Primary School by eight places as part of the school expansion by one form of entry (1FE) an increase of 30 pupils per year of age to take the school to a 2FE (60 place establishement). The County Council welcomes your views on the proposal to increase the number of places available in the SSC to 16.
