Why We Are Consulting

West Sussex County Council has a duty to provide personal budgets to people who are eligible for education, health or social care funding. The personal budget is used to meet their care and support needs. People can choose to get their personal budget as a direct payment, which the council pays into the person's own bank account. This is in order to give them more choice and control.

The council has a contract with Independent Lives which runs the direct payment support service. This contract is coming up for renewal and your feedback will help make decisions about the best way forward for the service.
