Consultation round two results

In collaboration with a diverse range of stakeholders, we have worked to agree the core vision and key priority areas that will drive our ambition for improving provision for our children and young people. We are delighted to be able to share with you our updated draft SEND and Inclusion Strategy for 2019-2024 which has arisen from this collaboration and sets out our vision, strategic priorities and key activities for our work. We have outlined that our over-arching strategy will be underpinned by detailed plans against each of our priorities and actions, and by an accountability mechanism through which our stakeholders can be informed and also challenge the progress we are making.

We would like to thank all those who have enthusiastically contributed to the formation of this strategy, many of whom we met in person during the workshops and consultation. The first round of the public consultation has now finished and the results of this can be found on the ‘Have Your Say’ website (and are attached below).

Your views have been very helpful and were used to inform the attached SEND & Inclusion Strategy and overarching Implementation Plan which are now available for further consultation. The final strategy will be approved by the Cabinet Member for Education and Skills early in the Autumn Term 2019.
